Each year in May we have our customer appreciation sale, as a family owned business we believe in having a good quality product at our lowest possible price. I do realize that everyone loves a sale including me, so we are having our biggest sale of the year on May 18-28.

 When searching for that perfect futon frame we have a couple of suggestions for you to consider. At our store we sell both wood and metal futon frames, the wood frames carry a longer warranty, but we rarely have trouble with our metal frames. The biggest mistake we see people make is buying a metal frame from a big box store. These frames have a wire mesh instead of slats. This is to weak for everyday use and will likely not last more than a couple of years.  Metal frames are also only available in full size only, we have never sold a queen metal frame.

The biggest difference between wood and metal frames is the slat width, wood frames have wider slats for more support. Wood frames will also give you more style options and wood finish choices. Wood frames that we carry have a least a 5 year warranty and are available in 5 different sizes.

It all begins with seating and sleeping comfort. Most of us have had the incredibly horrible experience of sleeping on a "regular" sofa sleeper that folds out from a couch.
Most of us have dealt with the springs sticking through and the bars that run horizontally across the center of your back.
Other than sleeping on a pile of rocks and sticks this is clearly the most uncomfortable sleeping experience possible.
A standard sofa sleeper doesn't make sense unless you have relatives visiting who you don't particularly care for and don't want them to stay too long. The fact of the matter is that many standard couch sleepers don't sit much better than they sleep. 

With the Futon Sofa you won't have springs in your back or have to hire an entire moving crew to get it to your home. Futons are delivered and assembled in your home and will fit down any hallway or stairwell. 

Another advantage of the futon is the comfort, we sell 9" thick futons that have many different variations. They are much more comfortable  than any sleeper sofa mattress. Many of our customers come back to our store and purchase our futons to go on their regular beds.

The Futon also has a removable cover so you can clean or even purchase multiply so you have a cover for each season. We love our customers who love changing covers often.

What to look for when buying a futon package?

When customers shop at our store, we basically give them a 3 step process.

·         First pick out the futon frame you like

·         Then pick out the futon mattress next

·         Last pick the futon cover that will zip over the mattress

Of course this order can be changed, but after three choices you off to owning a great futon.

When picking out a frame you need to decide if you want wood frame or metal one. We don’t carry the wood/metal combination frames at World Futon, because they just don’t last as long.  You will get a better warranty with a wood frame with a minimum of 5 years, some go up to 12 years.  Metal Frames come with a one year warranty as do click clack futons. Frames also come in different sizes and finishes; we have twin, full, loveseat full and queen sizes.

The Futon mattress is the most important part of the purchase. Futons over the years have gotten a bad rap for being uncomfortable; this is not true when you buy your futon from us. We have been making our on futons for over 15 years. We have 8 different types of futons to choose from.  If you like soft we got you covered, if you like firm then you are covered too. The futon mattresses we sell at World Futon are better than what most people sleep on as a regular bed.

The great thing about a futon is the removable cover. When you purchase a cover from us, it will be removable and cleanable. Most covers are machine washable. We have over a 1000 fabrics to choose from in our store.  Another advantage is that all futon covers can be changed.When you get tired of the old cover you can come in and pick out a new one that will zip right on your mattress for a new look.
